Khoya Peda

The ideal treat for important occasions, Indian and Pakistani festivals, and life events is khoya peda or mawa peda.
Full-fat milk is heated until it is reduced to one-fourth of its original volume. The final mixture is known as mawa, or khoya. The Khoya is cooked on a low temperature with sugar, milk that has been infused with saffron, and cardamom are added. The chilled mixture is rolled into little balls and topped with nuts.
